The Credit Union Difference
Credit unions were created to serve Members sharing a common bond, such as employment or community. Member savings are combined to form a pool of funds from which any Member can borrow. The interest paid by borrowers covers operating expenses and off-sets costs of other services to Members. Any additional income above that is returned to savers in the form of dividends.

Unlike banks, at UFSFCU you're a Member, not just a customer. Your Credit Union is governed by an elected volunteer board of directors, whose decisions are guided by what is in the best interest of all Members, not by what is in the best interest of stockholders.

It's EASY to Join
Simply complete the On-Line Membership Application or Call the Credit union at 1-800-796-5000 for an application or E-mail us at info@ufsfcu.org. You will be required to submit $25.00. This $25.00 deposit buys you a "share" in the Credit Union and establishes a Savings Account - it's not a membership fee. As long as you maintain a $25.00 balance, you will be a UFSFCU Member for life and eligible for all its associated benefits - no matter where you live or work!

You can also use the application to open a Holiday or Vacation Club Account, where you can save regularly through payroll deduction for holiday or vacation expenses. Additionally, a Custodial Account may be established using the application, which would allow you to save on behalf of your children or grandchildren.

Dividends are compounded from day of deposit to day of withdrawal. The minimum balance required to earn dividends is $100.00. Dividends are compounded monthly and posted to the account on the last day of the month. The account must remain open through the last day of the month for the dividend to be posted. Dividends may be withdrawn only after posting to the account.
